Senior Mechanical Engineer

Actalent is in search for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with prominent design experience who is self-directed and work with technical teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with architects, owners, and engineers to develop project plans including scope, budget, and timeline.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to identify risks and limitations.
• Assist in the design of projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
• Monitor and track project progress; identify and mitigate any issues or risks.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure construction activities comply with plans and quality standards.
• Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure specifications are met.
• Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with best practices.
• Prepare and maintain project documents, including progress reports and meeting notes.
• Collaborate with project teams on post‑construction reviews and lessons learned.
• Provide guidance and technical support to multi‑discipline teams.
• Promote communication and knowledge sharing within the project team.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers.
• Serve as a subject matter expert during project meetings and presentations.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING – REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, preferably mechanical engineering or building services.
• 8 years of experience in MEP design consulting.
• Advanced knowledge of building industry codes and standards.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING – PREFERRED

• Licensed Professional Engineer.
• LEED® Accreditation.
• Working knowledge of Autodesk® REVIT.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Honolulu, HI.

The pay range for this position is $44.98 - $64.18/hr.
