Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Construction Project Manager to oversee a significant $100M, five-year project at the Elmira School District in Elmira, NY. This role requires managing the overall planning, execution, and successful completion of assigned projects, ensuring adherence to contract documents while maintaining high-quality standards and maximizing profit opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Report to the assigned Project Executive and manage the overall planning, management, and execution of assigned projects.
• Oversee one or several projects or select trade packages on large-scale projects.
• Ensure successful project outcomes by scheduling, billing, and controlling direct job material and labor costs to generate profit.
• Execute assigned projects in accordance with contract documents, maintaining high standards of quality.
• Support the Project Superintendent in executing work successfully.
• Engage in client-facing meetings with the school district.
• Ensure a safe work environment in collaboration with the Superintendent.
• Develop a CPM schedule and participate in Project Hand-off Meetings with Estimating, Accounting, Safety, and Superintendent.
• Participate in Constructability Review Meetings, presenting comments and concerns on site logistics, sequence of construction, material selections, and required details.
• Handle purchasing of subcontracts and purchase orders and track project buyout.
• Establish a schedule of values for billing, reviewed by the assigned project executive prior to submission.

Essential Skills

• Extensive experience in project management and construction management.
• Ability to oversee large-scale K-12 construction projects.
• Strong client-facing communication skills.
• Experience in developing and managing CPM schedules.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proven track record of successful project execution, including profit and loss management.
• Experience in purchasing and managing subcontracts and purchase orders.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elmira, NY.

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $67.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Elmira,NY.
