Scientist

This position combines hands-on laboratory work with a strong emphasis on documentation and traceability. You will work closely with an experienced scientist and contribute significantly to tissue culture maintenance, cell line development activities, and early pipeline work.

• Execute daily laboratory responsibilities on time and in accordance with SOPs, quality standards, and due dates.
• Independently perform mammalian cell culture preparation and maintenance using strong aseptic techniques.
• Conduct media changes, culture inspection, and upkeep of CHO-related processes.
• Perform molecular and analytical laboratory tasks such as transfection and fluorescence/microscopic analysis.
• Use instruments to evaluate antibody expression or concentration.
• Support the selection and storage of candidate cell lines.
• Maintain compliant records and ensure full traceability of materials, actions, and results.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, escalating issues appropriately.
• Partner cross-functionally to troubleshoot issues while maintaining a focus on quality and compliance.
• Support downstream exposure opportunities as training progresses.

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant mammalian cell culture experience, with a strong understanding of GDP expectations.
• Experience in a GMP/GDP production or regulated lab environment.
• Strong aseptic technique.
• Experience with laboratory equipment operation and maintenance.
• Flexibility for light weekend work when required.

• Experience with CHO processes.
• Familiarity with bioreactor systems, including stir tanks and perfusion.
• Pipeline production experience, from upstream to downstream exposure.
• Comfort working in environments with strict documentation expectations.

You will work closely with another scientist in the lab. The CHO process requires a 7-day-per-week operation, and this role involves some weekend work, up to 2 hours each day. A set schedule will be coordinated to ensure balanced work hours alongside the current scientist.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eden Prairie, MN.

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $38.64/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Eden Prairie,MN.
