Description
Act as a customer- and technically-oriented sales partner, showcasing the organization’s engineering expertise and manufacturing strengths to internal stakeholders and external customers in support of new business development and ongoing technical support
Support growth within the Windings product portfolio by collaborating with existing and prospective customers to develop customized solutions utilizing capabilities across stator, rotor, motor, and generator production
Grow market presence while deepening relationships with current customers through hands-on technical engagement, solution refinement, and commercial collaboration aligned with long-term strategy
Create pricing strategies, cost estimates, and commercial offerings that contribute to profitable and scalable growth, including detailed cost breakdowns and margin-conscious quotations
Convert customer needs into well-defined technical and commercial requirements, ensuring proposals accurately capture scope, assumptions, tooling needs, engineering content, and delivery timelines
Generate sales quotes for catalog or standard products not requiring engineering review, as well as detailed statements of work and proposals for custom or engineered solutions
Serve as a key technical point of contact for customers by leveraging deep understanding of internal capabilities to propose optimal solutions and surface any limitations or development needs
Provide technical insight to Business Development efforts by engaging customers early in the design and concept phase while clearly articulating the company’s competitive advantages
Work closely with engineering teams to remain informed on newly developed technologies, processes, and capabilities that can be introduced to customers and prospects
Engage selectively with suppliers to obtain external cost inputs required to support customer proposals
Promote internal standards and best practices while ensuring customer expectations and critical requirements are clearly communicated to internal teams
Proactively manage and communicate changes to technical requirements or project scope with both customers and internal stakeholders
Participate in the organization’s established sales, forecasting, and operational review processes
Apply design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly (DFM/DFA) principles when assessing customer designs and new opportunities
Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to identify cost savings, process improvements, and lead‑time reduction opportunities
Maintain accurate and current information within the Windings CRM platform to support pipeline visibility, forecasting, and reporting
Ensure all activities and customer interactions align with applicable quality standards, systems, and company policies
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex scenarios, apply sound judgment, and make effective decisions independently in real‑time environments
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining responsiveness in fast‑moving, deadline‑focused settings
Strong attention to detail with excellent listening and communication skills, able to convey information clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing
Proficient in the regular use of Microsoft Office tools
Comfortable interpreting detailed, multi‑level technical drawings and applying engineering principles in practical applications
Known for professionalism, integrity, and accountability, with a strong sense of ownership over assigned responsibilities
Displays curiosity, positivity, and a collaborative approach, while also remaining self‑motivated and productive when working independently
Position may require limited travel (approximately up to 5%) to customer locations or industry events for relationship development and company representation
Education
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field required; equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
Experience
Minimum of two years of practical experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or design-focused environment
Candidates with hands‑on exposure to electric motor manufacturing and/or component assembly are strongly preferred
Experience creating cost models for manufacturing operations or engineering services engagements is beneficial
Prior involvement in technical sales support within a manufacturing or engineering services organization is preferred
Background in developing technical documentation such as quotations, proposals, specifications, or testing documentation is advantageous

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
