Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Safety Manager to join our team in South Florida. The Safety Manager will play a crucial role in preventing occupational injuries and illnesses on assigned projects. This position involves supporting a variety of high-value projects, including high-rise residential, justice, education, mixed-use, and hospitality ventures.
Responsibilities
- Review safety protocols at projects to ensure compliance with company and government standards.
- Provide guidance to the project team and trade partners on environmental, health, and safety guidelines.
- Act as a subject matter expert on safety-related regulatory and legislative matters.
- Conduct safety orientation training and assist with safety and compliance inspections.
- Lead daily site safety meetings and investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Implement corrective actions and conduct post-incident meetings.
- Maintain all safety, health, and environmental documents, including incident reports and inspection forms.
- Minimum 2 years of construction safety experience.
- Experience with OSHA regulations and inspections.
- Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) or Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Certified Safety Professional certification preferred.
- OCIP/CCIP experience preferred.
- First Aid/CPR Instructor certification preferred.
- Experience with Intelex Data Management System preferred.
- Degree in Safety and Health field is a plus.
This role is based in a construction site job trailer environment, supporting large $100 Million high-profile projects. The Safety Manager reports to the Regional Safety Manager and has a dotted line to the General Superintendent. This is a Permanent position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
