Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Manager to join our team in South Florida. The Safety Manager will play a crucial role in preventing occupational injuries and illnesses across various high-profile projects, including high-rise residential, justice, education, mixed-use, and hospitality projects. This is a full-time, long-term career opportunity with ample growth potential.

Responsibilities

• Review safety protocols at projects to ensure compliance with company and government standards.
• Provide guidance to project teams and trade partners on following environmental, health, and safety guidelines.
• Act as a subject matter expert on safety-related regulatory and legislative matters.
• Conduct safety orientation training for new team members.
• Conduct or assist with safety and compliance inspections.
• Lead daily site safety meetings.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, employee inquiries, complaints, and suggestions.
• Implement corrective actions and conduct post-incident meetings.
• Complete and maintain all safety, health, and environmental documents for project sites.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of construction safety experience.
• Experience with OSHA regulations and inspections.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Safety and Health field is a plus.
• Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) or Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification required.
• Certified Safety Professional preferred.
• Experience with OCIP/CCIP preferred.
• First Aid/CPR Instructor preferred.
• Experience with Intelex Data Management System preferred.

Work Environment

The role is based in a construction site job trailer environment and involves working on large projects with values exceeding $100 million. You will report to the Regional Safety Manager and have a dotted line to the General Superintendent. Depending on your location, your first project could be in Miami Lakes, Pompano, or Boynton Beach.

This is a Permanent position based out of Fort Lauderdale, FL.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
