Job Title: Construction Site Safety and QA/QC Coordinator

Job Description

This role provides an active presence on an industrial construction site, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance throughout all phases of the project. The Construction Site Safety and QA/QC Coordinator conducts daily safety audits, supports project management with schedule and milestone tracking, and maintains thorough documentation using construction software and standard office tools. This position offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to gain experience on large, complex industrial projects.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an active, consistent presence on an industrial construction site to monitor day-to-day activities.
  • Perform comprehensive daily safety audits, including detailed written reports and supporting photographs.
  • Coordinate closely with subcontractors, the owner/client, and other on-site vendors to align on safety, quality, and project requirements.
  • Partner with project managers to understand and track project schedules, timelines, and key milestones.
  • Support the development, review, and implementation of site plans, project plans, and project schedules.
  • Assist with QA/QC activities on large projects, with a focus on industrial construction environments.
  • Monitor construction safety practices and promote adherence to OSHA and site-specific safety standards.
  • Manage document control for construction documents, including organizing, updating, and distributing plans, reports, and records.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records related to safety audits, quality inspections, and project administration.
  • Support project coordination and administration tasks, including communication with stakeholders and preparation of status updates.
  • Assist with change order documentation and tracking as needed.
  • Use construction management software and Microsoft Office tools to prepare detailed reports, logs, and documentation.

Essential Skills

  • Experience performing QA/QC on large construction projects, preferably in industrial environments.
  • Experience conducting safety audits on construction sites and documenting findings.
  • Knowledge of construction safety principles and OSHA standards.
  • Proficiency with construction management software for documentation and reporting.
  • Strong skills in detailed report writing and documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation tools.
  • Experience in construction management, site management, or site coordination.
  • Ability to read and work with construction documents, site plans, and project schedules.
  • Strong organizational skills for document control and data entry.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with subcontractors, clients, vendors, and project managers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a similar field is preferred.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • Experience with industrial construction projects is preferred.
  • Experience with renovation projects and change order processes.
  • Background in project coordination and project administration.
  • Familiarity with construction quality control processes and procedures.

Work Environment

This is a 100% on-site role at an industrial construction site, specifically within a large manufacturing plant environment. The position requires regular presence in active construction areas, including exposure to typical industrial site conditions such as noise, heavy equipment, and ongoing construction activities. The role involves frequent movement around the site to perform safety audits, inspections, and coordination with various stakeholders. The schedule is highly flexible, allowing you to manage your own time while meeting project and reporting requirements. Standard construction site attire and appropriate personal protective equipment are required in all active work areas.

This is a Contract position based out of Ontario, CA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
