Job Title: Safety Coordinator
Job Description
We are seeking a Safety Coordinator to manage and oversee a series of projects in Louisiana. The primary focus will be on Resiliency projects related to electrical distribution work, with additional responsibilities on substation and transmission line projects for data centers in remote areas of Louisiana. This role is critical for ensuring the implementation of safety standards and procedures for subcontractors across multiple-year programs.
Responsibilities
- Drive, maintain, and implement safety standards and procedures to subcontractors on the job.
- Oversee Resiliency projects and substation/ transmission line projects.
- Coordinate with subcontractor crews to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control on construction documents.
- Report on safety performance and project progress.
Essential Skills
- Experience in electrical distribution, power delivery, and construction management.
- Proficient in quality assurance and quality control processes.
- Strong computer and reporting skills.
- Certification in CSST, COSS, OHST, or CHST.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- CUSP certification is a plus.
- Experience in transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
- Project management skills in construction and electrical fields.
Work Environment
The role involves fieldwork, pushing and coordinating the work of subcontractor crews. Expect to work over 50 hours per week, particularly during peak construction times. Per diem is offered for work that requires being away from home, up to 7 days per week. The position includes holidays and PTO, with the first 40 hours of vacation billed back to the customer. There is significant opportunity for overtime during peak construction periods.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $43.00/hr.
