Job Description

We are seeking a Safety Analyst to maintain and improve a variety of safety programs, including HazCom, Industrial Hygiene, Utility Vehicles, Plant PPE, Safety Training, Fall Protection, and Confined Space. This role involves conducting accident investigations, finding root causes, and tracking countermeasures, including early symptoms investigation. Additionally, you will assist with Workers' Compensation investigations and provide new hire safety orientation training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance safety programs such as HazCom, Industrial Hygiene, Utility Vehicles, Plant PPE, Safety Training, Fall Protection, and Confined Space.
• Conduct accident investigations, determine root causes, and track countermeasures, including early symptoms investigation.
• Assist with Workers' Compensation investigations.
• Provide new hire safety orientation training.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• 2 years of regulatory Safety requirement experience, with demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, and NFPA Safety requirements.
• 2 years of safety experience in an industrial environment.
• 2 years of administrative safety experience, including policy creation & implementation, safety training, safety investigation, reporting, database management, and risk assessment.
• Experience with Industrial Hygiene monitoring or chemistry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• BS in Occupational Safety & Health, Safety Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.

Work Environment

The manufacturing facility in Alabama spans 1.3 million square feet and assembles nearly half of the engines in North America. The plant employs over 2,400 team members, producing nearly 1.5 million engines and differentials annually. It is the only plant to build four-cylinder, V-6, and twin-turbo engines under one roof, powering popular vehicles such as the Highlander, Sienna, Corolla, Corolla Cross, Tundra, and Tacoma.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntsville, AL.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Huntsville,AL.
