Safety Advisor

Actalent's client in is seeking a Safety Advisor to support three of their projects in North Vancouver. The Safety Advisor will oversee safety scopes for three different projects at a client site and be responsible for the following:

MUST HAVE

• 8 years experience within safety roles
• 2 years experience working on industrial projects of 20M and above
• NCSO designation
• OFA Intermediate to Advanced (Level 2-3)
• Can pass a 5 panel oral swab D&A test and obtain Port Pass (b/g check required)
• Software: MS Office (basic)

NICE TO HAVE

• Working on a site managing multiple projects (will be overseeing safety for 3 different projects on site)
• Gold Seal or CRSP designation
• Rail or civil experience
• Salus (safety software)

DUTIES

- Inspections/field observations

- Oversee morning toolbox talks

- Develop safe work/job procedures or assist Safety Manager with this

- Maintain and understand WHMIS data sheets and inventory required on hand for this

- Lead incident investigations as required

- Managing PPE and other equipment stores

- As required, equipment inspections

- Liaise with project stakeholders on daily documentation (headcount, vehicle inspection reports, job hazard analysis)

- Monitoring similar documents for other projects to ensure compliance

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• M-F, 6:30am to 4pm
  • OT if willing - weekend work available if interested.
• 30% office, 70% field
• PPE? Steel toe boots, rest provided
• Parking on site? YES - needs to have$5M liability insurance, can take company vehicle if not.

This is a Contract position based out of Surrey, BC.

The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $50.49/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Surrey,BC.
