Job Description
The Right of Way Project Manager plays a pivotal role in field operations, focusing on managing internal and external relationships, human resources, project budgets, and overseeing a diverse portfolio of projects nationwide. Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and documentation of business requirements, objectives, and deliverables.
- Create project plans and provide estimates for each project iteration.
- Manage a portfolio of projects and clients, ensuring consistent standards and practices.
- Prepare feasibility studies and proposals.
- Develop, train, and mentor project teams throughout all project phases.
- Create and execute effective project strategies that align with company and client values.
- Develop mitigation plans for unique project environments.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert witness testimony when required.
- Assist the Land Director with creating and managing departmental budgets.
- Participate in regular project control meetings and report on profitability.
- Oversee all land aspects of projects, including regulatory planning, survey coordination, and project closeout.
- Serve on industry committees, regulatory forums, and workshops.
- Foster collaborative relationships and support quality management activities.
- Attend sales meetings as a technical expert.
- Utilize technology to efficiently manage projects.
- Perform complex negotiations and other assigned responsibilities.
- Manage direct reports, including administration, onboarding, and timesheet approvals.
Essential Skills
- 7-10 years of related experience with a minimum of 3-5 years in management.
- Bachelor's degree in real estate, Business, Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in writing and responding to proposal requests, including project and land acquisition budgets.
- Experience in linear project management such as pipeline or electric transmission line projects.
- Strong leadership, team building, and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Land Management database applications.
- Experience in developing and mentoring teams with a focus on succession planning.
- Results-driven with expertise in continuous improvement methods.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to convey complex information effectively and influence results.
- Experience in working within a matrix organization.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in the Energy Sector, Oil & Gas, Power, Utility, Wind, and Solar.
- PMP certification or current enrollment in certification classes.
- Current or recent experience as a Right of Way Land Manager in Land Project Management.
- Ability to identify and grow client relationships into a significant book of business.
Work Environment
The position requires reporting to the office within the Alliant building. The role may involve travel up to 75%, with project-specific assignments possibly requiring more travel. Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends, may be necessary. Per diem is offered 7 days a week.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
