Job Description
This position is responsible for the receipt, inventory, storage, and shipping of clinical agents or biological specimens to various clinical sites and/or laboratories. These materials are stored at temperatures ranging from ambient to -196°C with potentially hazardous properties. This role requires the use of database applications and adherence to standard precautionary procedures. You will work independently, communicate effectively, and exercise good judgment when making decisions. Interaction with internal or external clients occurs under the guidance of experienced professional or technical staff. You may be required to travel to Rockville or Germantown MD sites, up to 25% of the time. Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and accurately process items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements.
- Sustain a high level of quality to ensure customers receive accurate products in the time requested.
- Assist in receiving biological specimens, chemical compounds, clinical agents, and/or investigational products.
- Verify the quality, type, and quantity of materials received are accurate and that the appropriate documentation is present.
- Weigh dry chemical compounds.
- Aliquot liquid biological samples or products.
- Perform general documentation management (generate, review, archive, or destroy).
- Work in a warehouse environment under various temperatures ranging from ambient to -196°C.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP parts 210 and 211 and company quality systems.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), facility safety guidelines, and FDA requirements.
- Experience with cold chain, dry ice, and liquid nitrogen (LN2).
- Familiarity with -80 Freezers and repository operations.
- Basic digital literacy to navigate inventory systems, Microsoft Office, and shipping software.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written form.
- Ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified Pharmacy Tech preferred.
- Prefer work experience with data entry, shipping/receiving.
- Knowledge of Universal Precautions, general laboratory, and quality assurance/control.
- Good social skills and customer service skills required.
Work in cold environments ranging from ambient to -196°C with exposure to dry ice, liquid nitrogen cryogenics, and hazardous agents. This role requires performing highly repetitive tasks while walking, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs on a continuous basis. Occasionally, you may need to sit, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Flexibility to work varying schedules, hours, and overtime as needed is required. Travel to division sites between Rockville and Germantown may be necessary.

This is a Contract position based out of Frederick, Maryland.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
