Job Description:
Seeking a Transportation Project Engineer to execute and help lead complex projects including municipal roadways, roundabouts, trails, heavy highway, safety studies, green and complete street designs, and more for ODOT, LPA, and Non-LPA clients across Ohio. The Project Engineer will be a liaison between production staff and Project Managers. Looking for qualified candidates with multiple years of transportation engineering experience that can hit the ground running.
- PE level candidates (Project Manager) can work 100% remote and sit anywhere in Ohio OR surrounding states
- Less experienced candidates (Project Engineer) can sit in Columbus, Cincinnati, Akron, or Cleveland and work a hybrid schedule
Responsibilities:
-Conducting detailed research, analyzing data, and preparing plans to support innovative design solutions.
-Performing field reviews to identify opportunities and constraints.
-Collaborating withseniorstaff to create CAD-generated designs and compelling visual exhibits.
-Providing cost estimates, documentation, and quality checks for project accuracy.
-Contributing to projects that enhance communities while ensuring safety and sustainability.
-Adhering to all quality and safety standards.
-Making recommendations and demonstrating analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
-Building professional connections through client meetings and networking.
-Performing other duties as assigned.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
-Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
-PE license or ability to obtain in relative near future (licensure not required)
-3 years transportation engineering experience (not drafting or basic design)
-Proficiency in either AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and/ or OpenRoads (ideally all 3)
-Strong communication and collaboration skills.

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
