Quality Technician

The Quality Technician is responsible for performing routine to moderately complex inspections of aerospace parts, sub-assemblies, and finished products to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, quality standards, and customer requirements. This role supports receiving, in-process, and final inspections and works under general supervision within the Quality team.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of parts, assemblies, and raw materials.
• Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and inspection instructions.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate inspection records.
• Identify nonconforming material and communicate findings to Quality leadership.
• Support in-process and final inspections to ensure product quality.
• Follow established quality procedures, work instructions, and safety standards.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with basic inspection and measuring tools.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

• Experience in aerospace or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with quality systems such as AS9100 or ISO standards.
• Prior experience with receiving, in-process, or final inspection processes.

This position operates in a manufacturing environment where the Quality Technician is expected to perform hands-on quality inspections using precision tools. The role involves interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T to ensure product conformance. The technician must maintain accurate documentation to comply with aerospace quality standards, working within established safety protocols.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Simi Valley, CA.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Simi Valley,CA.
