Description
The Quality Technician performs advanced quality functions supporting manufacturing, new product launches, and customer requirements. This role includes PPAP submissions, ISO activities, advanced CMM and fixture inspection, and problem resolution, with some customer interaction. Quality Technicians are expected to lead problem‑solving efforts and advanced data collection while owning quality performance for assigned product lines.
Must‑Have Qualifications
- 3 years of hands‑on inspection experience using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gauges, and related precision tools
- 3 years of print reading experience, including weld symbols and GD&T, with the ability to accurately determine and calculate measurements and tolerances
- Strong shop math proficiency, including metric/standard conversions, fractions to decimals, tolerance calculations, and basic trigonometry
- High School Diploma or equivalent with formal QC training or on‑the‑job experience
Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications
- Experience supporting PPAP submissions and customer approvals
- CMM operation experience for complex part, assembly, or fixture inspection
- Experience in tube or sheet metal fabrication and inspection
- Experience with ISO requirements, audits, or certifications
- Prior involvement in new product launches or leading quality problem‑solving activities
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 3-5 years of hands‑on inspection experience using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gages, and other precision measuring tools
- Strong print reading skills (5 years) including basic to mid‑complexity drawings, weld symbols, and GD&T, with the ability to accurately determine measurements and tolerances
- Proficient in shop math including metric ↔ standard conversions, fractions to decimals, tolerance calculations, and basic trigonometry
- Manufacturing experience required, with experience in tube or sheet metal fabrication and inspection strongly preferred
- High school diploma (or equivalent) with QC training through school or on‑the‑job experience;

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
