Job Title: Quality Control Lead

Job Description

This role involves evaluating batches, finished goods, and raw materials according to specifications while maintaining accurate records and generating certificates of analysis. It requires coordination of equipment sanitation and swab testing, conducting in-house and customer sanitation audits, and initiating and updating set-up sheets.

Responsibilities

• Serve as back-up to the QC Supervisor.
• Calibrate and verify laboratory equipment.
• Arrange delivery of samples for external testing.
• Participate in audits and special projects.
• Perform daily scale and metal detector checks.
• Assess production lines for quality procedures.
• Investigate customer complaints.
• Audit sanitation of blending and production equipment.
• Assist in operations and administrative tasks.
• Support Kosher and Halal certification maintenance.
• Review ingredients and finished products for age.
• Participate in recall and mock recall procedures.
• Research and implement continuous improvement efforts.
• Enter production data into the database system.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control in the food industry or related field.
• Experience with training quality technicians.
• Knowledge of GMP guidelines.
• Proficiency in computer skills.
• Quality assurance and HACCP understanding.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $27.00/hr.
