Job Description

Join our team as a Quality/Fumigation Technician, working primarily on the 1st shift from 7 am to 3 pm, including weekends and additional hours as necessary. This role involves performing essential duties related to fumigation and sanitation for our U.S. Durum Milling operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections and fumigation of railcars and trailers, which involves climbing steep ladders untethered and carrying heavy loads.
• Inspect incoming railcars for cleanliness and ensure proper seal placement on loaded railcars.
• Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, including logs and monthly sanitation inspection reports.
• Spray facility floors for insect control.
• Maintain supply inventories and manage ordering needs, including uniforms for mill employees.
• Assist the Plant Sanitarian and Quality Control Lab when not performing primary duties.
• Perform various other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Ability to obtain a Non-commercial (7C) Applicator License within 90 days of employment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of technical procedures and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on thorough documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior fumigation experience preferred.
• Experience in plant sanitation is advantageous.
• Lab experience is a plus.
• Experience working in an industrial environment is ideal.
• Training and certification fees for the 7C fumigation certification are covered by the company.

Work Environment

This position operates in a variety of settings including lab, manufacturing, and outdoor environments. It involves physical activities such as climbing onto railcars and working with exposure to toxic gases like phosphine.

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $54080.00/yr.
