Quality Systems SQF Coordinator

***Must have previous experience in the Food and Beverage industry and be SQF Certified.***

MUST HAVE

• 1–2 years of experience in Quality Systems Management (HACCP, SQF, BRC, FSSC, ISO).
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
• Certifications: SQF, HACCP, PQCI.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

-Experience that demonstrates ability to be a team player, good time management, process improvement and work independently.

• Effective use of time management and organizational skills

• Detail oriented with an ability to prioritize in a fast-paced production environment.

• Self-starter and able to effectively and efficiently complete tasks without close supervision.

• Strong understanding of quality assurance systems and processes within a food manufacturing environment

• Proficient in the use of standard computer software, i.e., Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

• Excellent interpersonal skills: professional, courteous, friendly, empathetic.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the QA Manager in preparing for and obtaining annual SQF certification.
• Coordinate and verify implementation of SQF programs and ensure compliance with FDA regulations.
• Validate the effectiveness of food safety plans (HACCP, FDA Preventive Controls).
• Oversee pre-requisite programs: GMPs, pest control, sanitation, equipment calibration, etc.
• Maintain documentation and databases for packaging, ingredients, and finished products.
• Train team members on SQF, HACCP, GMP, SOPs, and food safety/quality standards.
• Conduct random audits and observations to ensure compliance.
• Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
