Quality Control Lab Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our team in conducting and analyzing performance tests on membrane products. This role involves following industry-standard testing protocols and ensuring adherence to company specifications. You will collaborate with senior engineers, chemists, and the R&D team to optimize membrane materials and processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct performance testing and analysis of membrane products, including permeability, fouling resistance, selectivity, and other key parameters.
• Develop and implement testing protocols and procedures in accordance with industry standards and company specifications.
• Operate and maintain laboratory testing equipment such as filtration systems and analytical instruments.
• Record, analyze, and interpret test data, preparing detailed and accurate reports.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, chemists, and the R&D team to identify areas for improvement and optimize membrane materials and processes.
• Troubleshoot testing issues and identify root causes of test discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations during testing procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Laboratory inspection and performance testing experience.
• Strong analytical skills and a background in Chemistry.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and self-manage time and priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Associates Degree in Chemistry is required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with membrane-based technologies such as reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration, and nanofiltration is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory testing equipment and data analysis tools is beneficial but not essential.

Work Environment

This position involves working Monday to Friday in 8-hour shifts within a laboratory setting. You will perform lab assistant and technician responsibilities to support the on-site chemist. The role offers growth opportunities, including advancing to an Analytical Chemist role.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
