Quality Assurance Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will help ensure that all work meets our internal quality standards as well as customer and industry requirements. This role is hands‑on and highly collaborative, involving documentation review, inspections, audit support, and direct interaction with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all work complies with the company’s quality assurance program and customer requirements.
- Review customer purchase orders, procedures, machining instructions, welding documents, drawings, and quality plans.
- Perform in‑process inspections and review testing and work travelers.
- Support incoming/receiving inspection and maintain QA‑controlled inventory.
- Review and verify dispositions of nonconformance reports and manage hold tags.
- Assist in internal and external audits.
- Perform QA witness and hold points in machining, welding, NDT, assembly, or fabrication processes.
- Compile and review pre‑shipment documentation packages.
- Interface with customers, inspectors, and internal engineering/manufacturing teams.
- Maintain controlled documents, calibration records, and oversight of subcontracted services.
- Be flexible and able to support temporary assignments based on business needs.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance within manufacturing, fabrication, aerospace, industrial equipment, or similar environments.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, and technical specifications.
- Strong understanding of quality processes, inspection methods, and documentation practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands‑on inspection experience in mechanical or electrical disciplines.
- Experience implementing or supporting quality program controls in a growing or dynamic organization.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Not required)
- AWS CWI certification.
- ASNT‑TC‑1A Level II VT or PT.
- Machinist, welder, or fabrication
- Bachelor’s degree or technical equivalent.
- Experience with commercial grade dedication, supplier quality, or high‑reliability manufacturing.
- Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, or other recognized Quality Management Systems.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $71000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
