The Quality Assurance Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting our food safety and quality programs. This position ensures the accuracy, organization, and timely reporting of quality information, while maintaining compliance with both internal programs and regulatory standards. The analyst collaborates with various teams, including Quality, Production, and Warehouse, to uphold the integrity of the Quality Management System.
Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and well-organized quality system and laboratory records in both electronic and physical formats.
- Compile, summarize, and distribute quality-related data to appropriate departments regularly.
- Monitor and coordinate the review and approval process for controlled documents to ensure proper version control.
- Collect, organize, and report data related to customer complaints and the cost of non-conformance monthly.
- Manage and update the quality hold database for finished products and raw materials.
- Verify allergen controls by conducting allergen swab activities in accordance with established programs.
- Coordinate sensory and organoleptic evaluations by administering samples and organizing sensory panels when required.
- Document and communicate results of sensory evaluations, including escalating out-of-specification findings to management.
- Maintain logs and reports related to corrective actions, observations, and pest activity, providing regular updates.
- Provide support to the Quality Laboratory as needed.
- Prepare export documentation and Certificates of Analysis, and assist with ingredient release activities as backup.
- Cross-train to perform duties of the Quality Systems Technician and provide backup support as needed.
- Assist with updates to quality programs, procedures, and documentation.
- Support GMP inspections and promote adherence to all food safety and quality system requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to learn and work with statistical tools and database systems, including Microsoft Access.
- Basic math proficiency and data analysis capability.
- Dependable attendance and timely completion of reports and assigned tasks.
- Commitment to safe work practices and quality standards.
- Familiarity with food manufacturing environments and quality system workflows.
- Working knowledge of GMPs, food safety programs, and quality documentation practices.
- Experience supporting or preparing for internal or external audits.
- Basic understanding of CAPA, deviation tracking, and continuous improvement concepts.
- Ability to interpret quality data and identify trends or opportunities for improvement.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Production, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams.
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Comfort working independently while maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.
- Experience handling confidential or regulated documentation.
- Exposure to sensory programs, allergen controls, or quality hold processes preferred.
- Willingness to learn company-specific systems, databases, and quality tools.
- Demonstrated professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail in a regulated environment.
The role is based in a laboratory within a food manufacturing plant with occasional exposure to laboratory conditions and chemical fumes. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36316.80 - $50876.80/yr.
