QC Tech

This QC Technician role combines hands-on quality assurance activities on the production floor with microbiological testing in the laboratory. You will perform plating, streaking, and other basic microbiology procedures while also inspecting products, pulling samples, conducting in-process checks, and thoroughly documenting quality results. This position supports the consistent production of high-quality homeopathic products within a growing manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing, including plating, streaking, and other basic microbiology procedures using laboratory equipment.
• Conduct quality assurance activities on the manufacturing floor to ensure products meet established standards.
• Inspect products at various stages of production to verify conformance to quality specifications.
• Pull and label product samples from production lines for testing and analysis.
• Carry out in-process checks to monitor and maintain product quality throughout manufacturing.
• Document all quality checks, test results, and inspections accurately and in a timely manner.
• Follow established laboratory and quality assurance protocols, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with production and laboratory teams to address quality issues and support continuous improvement.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in both laboratory and manufacturing work areas.
• Assist with additional quality or laboratory tasks as needed to support overall operations.

• Knowledge of basic microbiology techniques such as plating and streaking.
• Understanding of quality assurance principles and practices in a production setting.
• Educational background in Biology, Microbiology, or Biochemistry.
• Ability to perform accurate documentation of test results, inspections, and quality records.
• Strong attention to detail when performing tests and inspections.
• Ability to work effectively in both laboratory and manufacturing environments.
• Basic familiarity with working in a manufacturing environment (experience is a plus).
• Foundational QA experience (considered a plus but not mandatory).

• Degree or formal education in Biology, Microbiology, or Biochemistry.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience in quality assurance or quality control.
• Interest in or exposure to homeopathic or related products.
• Ability to adapt to a unique and collaborative workplace culture.

This role operates in both a laboratory and a manufacturing area, offering exposure to a variety of processes and equipment. You will split your time between lab-based microbiological testing and on-floor quality assurance activities within a growing manufacturer of homeopathic products. The position follows a first-shift schedule, starting around 7:00–8:00 a.m., with a standard 40-hour work week. You can expect a unique and engaging culture that values collaboration and quality-focused work. Appropriate laboratory and production attire, including any required personal protective equipment, will be provided and must be worn in accordance with safety and facility guidelines.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Troy, WI.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
