Description
The Lab Tech will perform all functions within the QC Micro Lab including: M-F 7am-4pm. Media Preparation Environmental Swabbing for pathogens and internal quality auditing of the facility. Analytical Testing: Examples - Moisture, Fat, pH, Salt, Titratable Acidity Microbiological Testing: Examples - Standard Plate Count, Yeast and Mold, Coliform, E.coli, Staphylococcus, Listeria, Salmonella All test methods are traditional BAM or AOAC approved methods (no petrifilm) Calibration of Lab Equipment

Bachelors Degree Microbiology (Prefer people from La Crosse, Oshkosh, Madison or University of Minnesota) Will Consider someone with a Bachelors in Science if they have proven Microbiology coursework and lab skills 3.0 GPA is preferred. Jeneil wants transcripts submitted with candidates information and will look at the Microbiology related coursework and the Grades specific to those courses. If the GPA is lower overall but they did well in these then that is acceptable. 1 year (in school acceptable) of experience in a Microbiology Lab. Lab skills they are looking for are Serial Dilutions, Gram Staining and Aseptic Technique
