Job Description
Join our team as a QA/QC Technician and work Monday through Friday on the first shift. You will support our laboratory with incoming samples and data derived from melting point and viscosity measurements. This role involves entering laboratory data into our management system accurately and efficiently, while ensuring all standard operating and safety procedures are adhered to.
Responsibilities
- Support the laboratory with processing incoming samples.
- Input laboratory data into the management system promptly.
- Work collaboratively with the laboratory team to perform quality control on incoming samples.
- Document data information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhere to safety and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct basic QC testing including sampling, data review, and quality assurance.
- Handle material inventory and control.
- Experience with basic QC testing and data review.
- Ability to perform tasks related to quality control and chemistry.
- Familiarity with UV/Vis, gas chromatography, refractive index, specific gravity, total alcohol, total aldehyde, and acid values.
- AA degree in a science field or a BS degree preferred in a scientific related field.
- 0-2 years of experience with attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a GMP food & beverage environment preferred.
The position is based in a laboratory setting where you will work alongside other chemists and flavorists. Occasionally, you will be required to go out to the production floor as needed. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Abingdon, MD.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
