Job Title: QA/QC Manager

Job Description

The QA/QC Manager leads quality assurance and quality control efforts across complex construction projects, including industrial facilities, semiconductor manufacturing plants, data centers, and other high-tech developments. This leadership role develops, implements, and maintains project quality programs to ensure all work complies with company standards, contract requirements, regulatory codes, and client expectations. The position plays a critical role in driving quality excellence, supporting continuous improvement, and shaping the future of advanced manufacturing, semiconductor production, data centers, and industrial infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage project-specific Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plans, procedures, and inspection programs.
  • Lead quality initiatives throughout all project phases to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, project specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
  • Coordinate and oversee inspections, testing activities, and quality verification processes to ensure timely, accurate, and thorough execution.
  • Partner with project management teams, field supervision, subcontractors, and clients to achieve project quality objectives and resolve quality-related issues.
  • Facilitate quality planning, pre-installation, and coordination meetings to proactively identify and address quality risks and challenges.
  • Monitor project quality performance, track key metrics, and implement corrective actions when deficiencies or nonconformances are identified.
  • Direct document control and quality record management, ensuring inspection reports, testing documentation, and quality logs are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for quality-related matters during client meetings, audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and implement preventive measures to improve overall project quality and operational efficiency.
  • Lead training, mentorship, and development initiatives for QA/QC personnel and project teams to strengthen quality awareness and accountability.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, systems, and project outcomes.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and quality documentation to ensure alignment with quality standards and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify quality deficiencies, develop corrective action plans, and drive resolution to completion.
  • Support commissioning, startup, and turnover processes for complex construction projects when applicable.
  • Represent the project’s quality function during client audits, regulatory reviews, and third-party inspections, ensuring transparency and compliance.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of QA/QC experience within industrial, manufacturing, mission-critical, semiconductor, data center, or commercial construction environments.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and managing project-specific QA/QC programs and inspection processes.
  • Strong understanding of construction quality management systems, industry standards, testing requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and quality documentation.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and SharePoint, as well as other construction management software platforms.
  • Experience in semiconductor or data center construction, industrial construction, manufacturing, or mission-critical facilities.
  • Ability to perform inspections and support construction quality verification activities.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide QA/QC initiatives and influence project outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across project teams, subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to identify quality deficiencies, develop corrective actions, and drive resolution to completion.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Professional certifications such as CWI (Certified Welding Inspector), CQM-C (Construction Quality Management for Contractors), CQC Manager, OSHA 30, or equivalent quality and safety credentials.
  • Experience leading QA/QC teams and mentoring quality professionals.
  • Knowledge of commissioning, startup, and turnover processes for complex construction projects.
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with ISO-based quality management systems and best practices.
  • Experience serving as the primary quality representative during client audits, regulatory reviews, and third-party inspections.
  • Comfort working with mission-critical environments such as semiconductor manufacturing plants and data centers.
  • Ability to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and strong quality accountability.

Work Environment

This role is based onsite at a large semiconductor manufacturing facility in Phoenix, AZ, working Monday through Friday with specific start and end times to be determined. The environment involves active construction within industrial and high-tech settings, including semiconductor and data center projects, where collaboration with project management, field supervision, subcontractors, and clients is frequent. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
