Job Description
Join a leading global supplier of magnet wire as a Lab Technician on the 3rd shift. You will be an integral part of the magnet wire testing laboratory, conducting quality tests and ensuring adherence to specifications in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Complete quality tests of magnet wire for quality specifications, investigation, design proposals, R&D, and performance improvement.
- Conduct testing on quality assurance and experimental runs, action requests, and sample orders.
- Assist in preparing magnet wire enamels, thinners, and lubricants.
- Perform inspection and analysis of raw materials and chemical products to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Conduct a range of tests requiring high attention to detail.
- Read, understand, and use detailed instructions for testing; enter and present data, prepare reports or charts to report test results.
- Utilize chemical testing equipment and measuring instruments.
- Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and management to analyze, solve, and correct problems.
- Engage in the quality management system using computer programs, quality systems, and tools.
- Follow all procedures, methods, and guidelines to assure quality, safety, and production goals are met.
- Maintain records and data for company reports.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers to give and receive information while maintaining positive working relationships.
Essential SkilOur Client
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in a scientific field preferred.
- 1 years of experience in GMP environments.
- 1 years of experience in quality control lab technician roles.
- 1 years of experience with basic laboratory techniques.
- Ability to work a 3rd shift, 12-hour schedule.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer use and quality systems (ISO/QS/TS).
- High attention to detail, organization, and mechanical skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment
This position operates on a 3rd shift schedule, 8pm-8am, following a 2-2-3 pattern, including every other weekend. Initial training occurs on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday. The laboratory is climate-controlled, providing a comfortable work environment. The team is small and cohesive, offering one-on-one training opportunities. The facility is part of a new expansion project, providing a modern and innovative work setting.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, IN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.40 - $21.65/hr.
