Psychometric Rater (Clinical Research)
Locations: Atlanta, GA or St. Louis, MO

Position Overview
We are seeking highly skilled Psychometric Raters to support ongoing and upcoming clinical research studies, primarily within psychiatric indications. This role requires individuals with hands-on experience administering clinical rating scales who can work independently in a fast-paced research environment.
The Psychometric Rater will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of clinical trial data by conducting structured assessments and supporting multiple study protocols simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer standardized psychiatric rating scales and structured clinical interviews (e.g., SCID, MINI, and similar instruments)
- Conduct patient assessments in accordance with study protocols and regulatory requirements
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and adherence to clinical research standards
- Collaborate with investigators and research teams across multiple studies
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of assessments
- Participate in onboarding, training, and ongoing study-related activities
- Support multiple concurrent protocols as needed
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree required (PhD preferred) in Psychology, Psychiatry, Social Work, or a related field
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience administering clinical rating scales in a clinical research setting
- Direct experience serving as a psychometric rater (not solely a clinical research coordinator)
- Strong understanding of psychiatric disorders and clinical assessment methodologies
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in a relevant discipline
- Experience in psychiatric clinical trials (with potential exposure to neuro-related studies)
- Licensure such as LCSW (psychiatric focus) is a plus
- Prior experience working across multiple protocols simultaneously
Disqualifying Backgrounds
- Experience limited to educational research (without clinical research exposure)
- No prior hands-on experience administering clinical rating scales
- Clinical research experience without rater responsibilities
Work Schedule & Structure
- St. Louis: Immediate full-time need (40 hours/week)
- Atlanta: Initially 20 hours/week, expected to ramp quickly to full-time
- Standard business hours; Saturday work is extremely rare
- Initial hybrid period (a few weeks to 1 month) followed by fully on-site work
Location & Travel
- Roles are site-based in Atlanta, GA and St. Louis, MO
- Candidates are expected to be local or relocate
- Travel is minimal long-term; any initial travel is primarily for onboarding or relocation support

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Louis, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
