Job Title: Prototype Engineer

Job Description

As a Prototype Engineer, you will be responsible for designing mechanical parts, sheet metal, polymer components, and assembly drawings using Pro-E/CREO. You will also build prototypes in a laboratory setting and support mechanical assembly and operational challenges as needed. Additionally, you will design precision mechanical components and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical parts, sheet metal, polymer components, and assembly drawings using Pro-E/CREO.
• Build prototypes in a laboratory setting.
• Support with mechanical assembly and operational problems as needed.
• Design precision mechanical components and assemblies.

Essential Skills

• 5 years of experience with mechanical assemblies, drafting, GD&T, and 3D modeling using Pro-E/CREO.
• Proficient in mechanical design, prototype building, and machine shop operations.
• Ability to use hand tools to build prototypes as needed.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with electronic wiring and cabling is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

Health Benefits

Medical Plans
Two National Plans are available through Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield offering members access to all doctors, hospitals and other health care professionals that participate in the Horizon Managed Care Network. Highlights of the plans are shown in the table below.
Dental Plan
The Horizon Healthcare Dental Services (HHDS) program offers preventative and diagnostic services utilizing their PPO network to maximize your savings, or by visiting a dentist participating in their Traditional dental network. The Plan provides coverage for key preventive services such as regular checkups and cleanings and helps offset potentially expensive dental procedures, such as extractions, crowns and fillings.
• HHDS Program pays the following up to an annual plan maximum of $1,500.00:
o 100% for Preventative and Diagnostic Services,
o 80% for Basic Services, and
o 50% for Major Services, as defined in the summary of benefits.
• Deductible for Basic & Major Services: $50.00 per individual ($150.00 maximum per family).
Vision Plan
The Horizon Expanse V Vision Plan is offered through Horizon BCBS of NJ and uses the Davis Vision’s core nationwide network of independent retailers and Visionworks locations. The Horizon Expanse V network includes nearly 45,000 points of access plus leverages the expanded Horizon/Davis Vision View network, which contains an additional 25,000 eye care professionals throughout the country.
