CNC Turning Machinist – Prototype & Production
Where: Paterson, NJ
When: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:30 PM
Compensation: $28.00/hour, based on experience and skills
Make precision your craftOwn the turning process from setup to final inspection. You’ll bring HAAS CNC lathes up to speed, switch over to HAAS mills when needed, and keep work flowing with clean setups and accurate offsets. You’ll validate your first piece, monitor quality, and adjust as you go—especially when working aluminum and stainless steel. As you grow, you’ll add new capabilities by learning additional machines, including Kiwa.
Your impact- Translate blueprints and technical drawings into accurate parts.
- Complete multiple machine setups; set tool lengths and manage offsets.
- Perform first-article inspections and verify specs before production runs.
- Hold tight tolerances in aluminum and stainless-steel machining.
- Make precision adjustments to sustain quality and throughput.
- Uphold safety and quality procedures without compromise.
- Keep the work area orderly for efficient changeovers.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience setting up and operating HAAS CNC lathes/mills (preferred).
- Hands-on background machining aluminum and stainless steel.
- Mastercam programming knowledge preferred.
- Strong command of basic math and geometry.
- Comfort with basic computer tasks.
- Reliable, self-directed, and accountable.
- Positive mindset with a willingness to learn.
Pay: $28.00/hour, based on experience and skills
