Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer who will be responsible for client interface, managing projects, and ensuring effective communication. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction, engineering, or as a subcontractor, and will be proficient in Excel and general computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Interface with clients and manage project expectations.
• Utilize social skills to foster strong client relationships.
• Employ technical skills in construction and project engineering, including proficiency in Bluebeam.
• Organize tasks efficiently, prioritize based on customer needs, and manage a to-do list effectively.
• Communicate clearly and articulate thoughts well.
• Demonstrate teachability and willingness to learn unique processes.
• Be prepared to step into a Project Management role, exceeding typical PE/APM responsibilities.
• Work closely with specialized teams to perform tasks directly for clients.
• Handle projects that involve large steel structure construction, detached from buildings.

Essential Skills

• 0-3 years of experience in project management.
• Engineering degree in any discipline except IT, or a construction management degree.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Basic proficiency in Bluebeam.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as a project coordinator with 3 years is also acceptable.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Extroverted personality with strong communication skills.

Work Environment

The role is based in office with potential travel to job sites out of state, averaging slightly more than one trip per month with durations of 1-2 nights. The work environment is laid-back and less formal, with a team atmosphere where jeans and tennis shoes are the norm. The company prides itself on a culture of teachability and willingness to learn.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Collins, CO.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $43.00/hr.
