Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Project Engineer to lead and manage cross-functional teams through all phases of product development and release. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet product performance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage APQP documentation requirements for each project.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal teams regarding product development and program management activities.
- Provide project status updates and risk assessments to upper management on a monthly basis.
- Support the prototyping process, including definition, sourcing, and execution.
Essential Skills
- Automotive manufacturing experience.
- Mechanical engineering expertise.
- Design and project engineering skills.
- Product development life cycle knowledge.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
- 5 years as a Mechanical Engineer with a focus on leading projects or 3 years of project management experience.
- Experience in the automotive or related industry.
- Project management and engineering skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with TS, APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, and MSA.
- Understanding of customer-specific requirements.
- Proficiency in technical print reading.
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis.
Work Environment
The role is situated in an office environment and involves supporting the full product life cycle. The position is a backfill for a previous employee and requires working cross-functionally across engineering teams. You will engage directly with leading automotive brands in a fast-paced, tier 1 automotive supplier setting.

This is a Permanent position based out of Eden Prairie, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $106000.00/yr.
