Job Title: Project Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer with a strong background in civil or landscape construction to join our dynamic team. This role requires a balance of office and field work, with approximately 80% of your time spent in our state-of-the-art office and 20% in the field. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects meet specifications, timelines, and budgets, working closely with our project management and site supervision teams.
Responsibilities
- Procure materials and manage submittals.
- Oversee RFI management and assist the team with planning and scheduling.
- Collaborate with the Project Superintendent to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
- Work with the Project Manager on budget reviews and ensure costs are coded correctly to field activities.
- Assist with monthly billing and track extra work.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of site supervision or project management experience in civil or landscape construction.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, contract requirements, and schematics.
- Proficiency in using Procore or HCSS for organizing construction documents.
- Experience as a project engineer managing RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or commensurate experience.
- 2 years of prior experience with a heavy/civil self-perform construction company preferred.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $38.46/hr.
