Job Title: Remote Project Controls Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Project Controls Specialist to develop and maintain project schedules and forecasts using Oracle Primavera P6 and other project tools. This role supports Earned Value Management (EVM), progress measurement, and variance analysis, and involves preparing drafts of monthly progress reports, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, and using established processes and tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and assist in preparation of project schedules.
• Prepare various reports and demonstrate an understanding of project control tools.
• Assist in schedule baseline and schedule update reviews.
• Contribute to cost estimate development and review.
• Support the development, monitoring, and execution of constructability/bid reviews, construction schedule, schedule impact analysis, contract change/work order, project risk analysis, and contract administration.
• Manage project information, including hard-copy and electronic files.
• Coordinate information flow between project team and client.
• Attend project meetings and prepare detailed minutes.
• Develop presentations based on input from project team members.
• Prepare new project start-up documents per project and quality procedures, including development of schedules and level of effort estimates.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Applications, and Adobe Acrobat.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in project coordination with a consulting/engineering firm.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple long- and short-term tasks simultaneously.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with engineering change orders and engineering controls.
• Background in engineering consulting.

Work Environment

The role is fully remote and their office is out of Midlothian, VA. Some weeks may require additional effort. Benefits include paid time off, a year-end bonus, tuition reimbursement, and the opportunity to gain stock in an employee-owned company.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Midlothian, VA.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
