Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Project Architect who is proficient in producing construction drawings using Revit. The ideal candidate will lead a project team consisting of job captains and junior staff while collaborating closely with a project manager. You will work on a variety of institutional projects, including municipal works, public works, educational, K-12, and higher education facilities. Responsibilities also include conducting site visits as needed and researching building codes. You will be involved in projects from schematic design through design development and construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Produce construction drawings using Revit.
• Lead a project team of job captains and junior staff.
• Collaborate with project managers on project direction and execution.
• Engage in a variety of institutional projects such as municipal works, public works, and educational facilities.
• Conduct site visits as required.
• Research and ensure compliance with building codes.
• Manage projects from schematic design through design development to construction documents.

Essential Skills

• 6-20 years of experience in architecture.
• Expertise in producing construction documents using Revit.
• Ability to lead technical project teams.
• Experience with institutional projects such as healthcare, large-scale municipal, and educational projects.
• Licensed Architect or on licensure track.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience in construction administration and architectural design.
• Familiarity with drafting, SketchUp, detail design, zoning, and project management.
• Involvement in ground-up projects.
• Understanding of mixed-use projects.
• Degree in Architecture.
• Excellent internal and external communication skills.

Work Environment

This position is based in a 50-person firm located in Bergen County, NJ. The firm comprises four studios: Healthcare, Education, Municipal, and Private, with resources shared between studios. A flexible work arrangement is offered, initially with one remote day per week, subject to reassessment after three months for potential increase. The firm is recognized for handling large-scale projects and offers a dynamic and resourceful work environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Paramus, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $160000.00/yr.

This is a hybrid position in Paramus,NJ.
