Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Production Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for mixing chemicals and managing the encapsulation process. This involves measuring, mixing, weighing, and documenting production runs. After each production run or campaign, the operator will clean the production suite. All processes must comply with GMP regulations.
Responsibilities
- Set up the fluid bed unit, requiring knowledge of part names and assembly of the pump system.
- Operate equipment and units, with comprehensive training provided at this stage.
- Disassemble and clean units after production completion.
- Work with 55 lbs bags and move up to 175 lbs drums of raw materials, utilizing team lifting where necessary.
- Monitor and document readings, temperature, mixing speed, and pump operations during production.
- Ensure documentation is accurate during time-stamps, including weight checks.
Essential Skills
- 1 years of experience in a GMP or food/pharmaceutical environment.
- Experience in mixing chemicals and following SOPs.
- Ability to document production runs and follow batch records.
- Proficient math skills, particularly with decimals for chemical calculations.
- High attention to detail.
- High School diploma.
- Reliable with a stable work history and good attendance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a cleanroom environment.
- Ability to work safely around hazardous chemicals.
- Strong references verifying skills and reliability.
Work Environment
The role is situated in a cleanroom setting where operators will wear lab coats, hairnets, and booties over their shoes. Uniforms are provided. Candidates must be comfortable working with hazardous chemicals, including narcotics. Production occurs in separate suites to prevent cross-contamination, with each suite spanning three stories and requiring stair climbing. After production, suites are power washed and sanitized. Shift hours include 1st shift (7:00 a.m.-3:15 p.m., Mon-Fri), 2nd shift (3:00 p.m.-11:15 p.m., Mon-Fri, with a 6% shift differential), and 3rd shift (11:00 p.m.-7:15 a.m., Sun-Thu, with a 10% shift differential). Training takes place during 1st shift for 3-4 months before transitioning to 2nd or 3rd shift.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
