Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Production Support Electrical Engineer to join our team and work on the first shift from 7 am to 4 pm. The role involves supporting production by resolving issues and ensuring the smooth progression of hardware builds. The successful candidate will assess problems quickly, identify required information, and use available resources to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively. Communication with a cross-functional team is essential, as is driving updates and status on resolutions.
Responsibilities
- Make quick assessments of problems and identify additional required information.
- Understand available resources and prioritize issues based on urgency.
- Develop and communicate plans for troubleshooting and resolution.
- Prepare and present change documentation.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues and manage projects to completion.
- Solve problems quickly and accurately, and communicate effectively across teams.
- Take ownership of tasks and ensure timely completion.
- Resolve production and supplier issues, including coordinating corrective actions.
- Maintain and update technical drawings and documentation, including preparing change packages for review boards.
- Diagnose hardware failures using a range of electronic test equipment and analysis tools.
- Evaluate defect and yield data to drive process improvements and reduce recurring failures.
- Collaborate with suppliers, create Statements of Work, and support general electrical engineering activities in production environments.
Essential Skills
- 5 to 10 years of experience in electrical engineering.
- Experience with digital, analog, RF, or mixed signal testing and debugging complex circuit card assemblies and electro-mechanical systems.
- Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, and power supplies.
- Ability to interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and Bills of Materials (BoMs).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent.
- Experience supporting production engineering activities involving electrical or mechanical hardware.
- Experienced in designing electronic or electro-optical subsystems, including circuit design, assembly processes, and fabrication practices.
- Familiarity with engineering and analysis tools across electrical design, simulation, and measurement domains.
- Experience with subsystem integration, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to work independently or within small teams while providing technical guidance, coordination, and project oversight.
Work Environment
The position operates in a dynamic production environment where collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential. The role involves using advanced electronic test equipment and tools. The first shift runs from 7 am to 4 pm, and the successful candidate will need to adapt to a fast-paced setting, focusing on continuous improvement and effective problem-solving.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
