A growing manufacturing organization in Milford, CT is seeking a Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations and support continued business growth. This role is heavily focused on people leadership, team engagement, and development of frontline leadership, while ensuring production plans, schedules, and capacity needs are met. The ideal candidate is a steady, visible leader on the shop floor who can balance operational execution with a positive, performance-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and engage supervisors and production leads across multiple manufacturing teams
• Oversee daily production activities to ensure output, quality, and on-time delivery goals are met
• Develop frontline leaders to take increased ownership of training, performance management, and day-to-day execution
• Support production planning, scheduling, and basic capacity planning using ERP systems
• Promote continuous improvement and apply practical lean manufacturing principles
• Partner with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and leadership
• Maintain a safe, organized, and accountable production environment

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of manufacturing leadership or management experience
• 5 to 7 years of experience in production planning and scheduling
• Proven people management and leadership development experience
• Hands-on experience working in a tangible-product manufacturing environment
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented setting

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience using ERP systems; NetSuite is a plus
• Practical lean manufacturing experience; certification not required
• Strong communication skills and consistent shop-floor presence
• Experience developing supervisors or leads into higher-level leaders

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Milford, CT.

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
