Product Development Engineer

The Vehicle Engineer is responsible for engineering and designing new wheelchair-accessible vehicles from start to finish. The individual will oversee the design and integration of all vehicle systems in these vehicles, setting the overall development strategy while maintaining corporate objectives.

• Design and integrate all vehicle systems for new wheelchair-accessible vehicles.
• Set and maintain the overall development strategy in line with corporate objectives.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers to ensure successful project completion.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Experience with structural design.
• Proficiency in sheet metal design.
• 5 years of work experience in design, preferably in the automotive sector.

• Previous experience with assembly plant launches, particularly from the ground up.
• Experience with various joining methods, including welding.
• Knowledge of structural design for steel and aluminum parts and manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Dimensional Management and GD&T is preferred.

The position is based onsite in Winamac, within a team of 13 engineers. The company is making significant facility and automation upgrades, providing a dynamic work environment. There are opportunities for growth and advancement across different levels of senior engineering (categories 1-7). The company offers a 401k match up to 40% and fosters a positive work environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Winamac, IN.

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
