Job Title: Pre-Award Budget and Financial Analyst
Job Description
This position focuses on developing and negotiating clinical trial budgets, primarily for industry-sponsored studies. It also involves some work on investigator-initiated studies, making familiarity with that environment beneficial. This role does not involve grant management or protocol development, but experience with medical terminology and reviewing study protocols is highly valuable. The analyst will be responsible for building comprehensive study budgets that reflect all required components.
Responsibilities
- Develop and negotiate budgets for clinical trials, primarily industry-sponsored.
- Support some investigator-initiated studies with budget development.
- Build comprehensive study budgets reflecting all required components.
- Utilize understanding of contractual terms and language.
- Potentially support additional team needs with coverage analysis experience.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience; 5 years preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain financial data clearly to teams unfamiliar with financial terminology.
- Strong time management skills to succeed in a fully remote environment.
- Comfortable interfacing regularly with study teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with vendors such as Huron or WCG.
- Exposure to calendar-building is a plus.
- Experience with OnCore, Salesforce, Microsoft Office.
- REDCap experience is nice to have.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Haven, CT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.67/hr.
