The Operations Technologist role involves autonomously setting up, completing sanitation, and operating equipment for trials. You will provide support to various platforms, focusing primarily on the Cereal platform.
Responsibilities- Set up pilot plants using hand tools and industrial mixers.
- Perform heavy lifting of 50lb bags for mixing.
- Execute and document analytical tests, panels, and minor experiments.
- Procure and manage materials; manage and maintain pilot plant spaces.
- Safely operate large equipment, including mixers, valves, and pumps.
- Understand food safety requirements and perform risk assessments.
- Assist Product Development team in creating food products on a production line.
- Determine production setup, verify finished products, and change production setup over trials.
- Experience with production, operation, and pilot plant settings.
- Knowledge of food production, manufacturing, GMP, food safety, and plant operation.
- High School Degree with 1-3 years of experience in production, machine operation, labor roles, or warehouse.
- OR a 2-Year Science Degree or 4-Year Science Degree with some exposure to food science, dairy science, nutrition, or related coursework.
- Experience in food production is a plus.
- Military experience is a plus.
This role is based in a Pilot Plant Production environment, working with food product developers, test kitchen staff, and production staff. The job requires heavy lifting, manual work, and adherence to safety standards. You will work with various food products, including fruit snacks, dairy, pet food, grains and bars, and cereal. Protective clothing and equipment are required. The position involves exposure to allergens such as milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, and sesame. Shift flexibility is required, with potential for overtime and weekend work. Physical tasks include standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting over surfaces.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
