Job Title: Phlebotomist

We are looking for a dedicated Phlebotomist to perform phlebotomy and skin punctures on patients in alignment with established protocols. The role is essential for obtaining suitable specimens necessary for accurate clinical results, which aid in patient diagnosis. In addition to collecting specimens with proper handling procedures to ensure specimen viability, you will perform clerical duties to receive, identify, accession, and process specimens efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and skin punctures according to protocol.
• Collect and handle patient specimens to ensure accuracy and viability.
• Execute clerical duties including receiving, identifying, and processing specimens.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Collaborate effectively within a team setting.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in venipuncture and related phlebotomy techniques.
• 0-1 year of phlebotomy experience; 1 year preferred.
• Completion of a Phlebotomist Training Program.
• ASCP Certification preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Work Environment

The position is based in a Family Health Clinic and requires a professional demeanor and attire. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 6am until patient draws are completed for the day. Professionalism in attitude and appearance is crucial, with specific emphasis on avoiding unnatural hair colors.

This is a Contract position based out of Jonesboro, AR.

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $20.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Jonesboro,AR.
