Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist who demonstrates proficiency in blood collection through venipuncture and capillary techniques across all age groups, including pediatric patients and challenging cases in medical office buildings. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety protocols and will effectively communicate their importance to fellow employees. Additionally, the role requires the ability to provide orientation and training for patient services.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collection from patients using venipuncture and capillary techniques.
• Handle pediatric blood collections and manage difficult draws.
• Ensure compliance and safety protocols are followed.
• Communicate effectively the importance of compliance and safety to other staff members.
• Provide orientation and training for patient services.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma
• CPT 1 License
• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting or 2 years in a reference laboratory setting

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Open to being called and working on the same day
• Availability to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts

Work Environment

This is an on-call, per diem position requiring flexibility to work all shifts, including weekends. Shifts are 12 hours and may be called in same day, so availability and commitment are crucial. Training will be conducted on the 1st shift, Monday to Friday, at one location initially. The role may require travel to various locations including Riverside, Wildomar, Temecula, and three locations at Moreno Valley. The dress code is scrubs. This opportunity is a great way to get your foot in the door and increase your hours by picking up shifts at various locations.

This is a Contract position based out of Riverside, CA.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Riverside,CA.
