Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist who exhibits proficiency in blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques from patients of all age groups, including pediatric patients and those with difficult draws. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety protocols and effectively communicate their importance to other employees. The role requires the ability to provide orientation and training for patient services.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples using venipuncture and capillary techniques from patients of all ages.
• Perform pediatric blood collections and handle difficult draws.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and communicate their importance to colleagues.
• Provide orientation and training for patient service procedures.
• Process specimens accurately and efficiently.

Essential Skills

• High School Diploma
• CPT 1 License
• 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting
• Ability to work with pediatric patients, ICU, and handle high volume collections

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must be open to working on-call and same-day shifts
• Flexibility to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts
• Comfortable with weekend work and on-call duties

Work Environment

This is an on-call lab phlebotomist position where shifts are mainly filled due to same-day call-outs. Workers must be flexible and available for all shifts, including weekends. Initial training will occur during the 1st shift, Monday through Friday. The dress code is scrubs, and the position was created due to higher volume and the need for more coverage. This role offers a great opportunity to get a foot in the door in a reputable healthcare setting. Shifts will primarily be at specified locations, but there is potential to pick up additional shifts at other locations to increase hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Riverside, CA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Riverside,CA.
