Pest Control Specialist

Overview:

We are currently hiring a Pest Control Technician/Specialist for a long term contract in Newport News.

Description:

• Manages animal control program responsibilities to ensure safety of workforce and compliance to applicable laws.
• Implements and monitors industrial safety programs to ensure personnel and facility safety.
• Participates in monitoring and controlling the organization's safety standards in accordance with OSHA and State codes and regulations.
• Evaluates new equipment and materials for safety.
• Performs surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with the organization's policies, procedures, regulations and standards related to employee safety.
• Tests and services safety equipment and systems.
• Reports non-compliance or hazardous conditions found and suggests remedial action to be taken.
• May maintain storage areas, consumable supply inventories, and personnel protection equipment.

Qualifications:

• US Citizenship
• High School Diploma
• Previous experience in animal control management.
• Previous experience working as a farmhand or with animals preferred.
• Capable of learning, retaining, and executing rudimentary tasks.
• Willing to follow chain of command.

Additional Information:

• 1 opening available.
• Pay Rate: $22-$28/hr.

This is a Contract position based out of Newport News, VA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
