Job Description

The main role of a Packaging Engineer is to design and release packaging material specifications. This position involves improving packaging design and material specifications through thorough research and testing. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 3RD SHIFT. 11P-7A

Responsibilities

• Perform projects aimed at reducing packaging material processing, distribution, and damage costs.
• Resolve complex product and packaging issues efficiently.
• Develop and apply graphic design elements and product identification standards for packaging materials.
• Coordinate packaging requirements with plants, other departments, sources, and customers.
• Stay current on new technology and developments within the industry.
• Apply high-quality network/synchronous organization and lean strategies to achieve process improvement and promote teamwork.

Essential Skills

• Expert knowledge of testing design and packaging processes.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with Lotus Notes or other email communication tools.

Work Environment

The role requires working collaboratively with various departments and maintaining a focus on process improvement and teamwork. The work environment encourages staying updated with new technologies and developments in the field.

This is a Contract position based out of Burton, MI.

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $36.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Burton,MI.
