Job Title: Nurse Director (Clinical Research)
The Nurse Director (Clinical Research) is responsible for managing daily nursing operations to ensure efficient and high-quality participant care and research activities. This role involves problem-solving, critical thinking, and inductive and deductive reasoning to keep executive management updated on trends and changes.
Responsibilities
- Manage clinical research operations, ensuring compliance with relevant institutional, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
- Oversee the delivery of clinical activities during research protocols, ensuring safe and competent care for participants.
- Plan and implement strategies to meet regulatory requirements for the care of research cancer participants.
- Facilitate the implementation of clinical research protocols, ensuring participant care throughout the protocol's duration, including screening, consent, active treatment, and follow-up.
- Ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations, including GCP, and maintain knowledge of applicable guidelines such as DHHS, FDA, OHRP, NIH, GCP, HIPAA, and IRB.
- Attend relevant training programs, workshops, and seminars to stay updated on regulatory standards and project objectives.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations in collaboration with investigators and other disciplines.
- Oversee compliance with clinical trials, investigate protocol deviations, and create corrective action plans.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with a license to practice as a registered nurse
- Master's or Doctoral degree required
- 3 years of experience in research preferred
- 3 years of relevant professional experience in reviewing and evaluating budgets, organization, administrative practices, and computer applications in a large healthcare or education environment or government agency
- Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) and/or Association of Clinical Research Professionals (CCRC) or Society of Clinical Research Associates (CCRP) certification must be obtained within 2 years of hire
- American Heart Association: BLS is required
Work Environment
The work environment involves recruiting, hiring, supervising, and evaluating clinical research nursing staff to ensure productivity and compliance with established standards. Provide guidance, supervision, and direction to nursing research staff while applying situational leadership to foster their independence.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $180000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
