What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Operations Center Engineer position at Actalent?
We are seeking a dedicated Network Operations Center Engineer to help maintain our reputation as a trusted partner in network operations. The successful candidate will provide 24/7 monitoring support for our IoT Network to minimize and prevent service impacts, execute the Incident Management Process, and continuously contribute to the success of our global IoT Business Unit.
Responsibilities- Provide 24/7 monitoring support for the IoT Network to minimize and prevent identified service impacts.
- Execute the Incident Management Process and monitor strategy, identifying process improvements to ensure network quality.
- Assess, draft, and deliver Root Cause Analysis in a timely manner to internal and external customers.
- Contribute continuously to improving and achieving customer and global IoT Business Unit success.
- Proficiency in NOC operations, incident management, and root cause analysis.
- Experience with firewalls and 5G technologies.
- Ability to tackle complex problems using analytical thought to identify innovative solutions.
- Interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- BS in Computer Science or 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with SQL-like databases.
- Experience in a SaaS or hosted application service provider environment.
- Ability to write preliminary reports well.
- Must be a sole US citizen.
The position requires night shift work either from Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday, with flexibility needed for hours between 2 PM to 11 PM EST. There is very little on-call requirement.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Alpharetta, GA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $42.00 - $46.00/hr.
