Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Metrologist Chemist to support laboratory operations within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role focuses on ensuring all lab instrumentation is properly validated, calibrated, and compliant with GMP standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in chemistry and hands-on experience with lab equipment and quality systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Validate laboratory instrumentation and ensure alignment with approved analytical methods.
- Author and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Initiate and document deviations within the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Coordinate calibration activities and collaborate with vendors to ensure equipment and method validation.
- Follow SOPs and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Operate and maintain autoclaves and other lab instruments.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Chemistry and laboratory instrumentation expertise.
- Experience with calibration, change control, and QMS documentation.
- Familiarity with autoclaves, pH meters, and other analytical tools.
- Proficiency with MasterControl, CMMS, and electronic document management systems (EDMs).
- Hands-on experience with pH, conductivity meters, digital multimeters (DMM), and oscilloscopes.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in a life science discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $91000.00/yr.
