Medical Laboratory Scientist
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, Day Shift
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team! This role mainly supports high‑quality diagnostic testing by performing immunologic and related clinical laboratory analyses with precision, accuracy, and adherence to established protocols. The ideal candidate brings a strong scientific foundation, sound judgment, and a commitment to reliable patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform immunology laboratory testing according to established procedures and quality standards
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment
- Review and verify test results, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
- Follow all quality control, quality assurance, and safety guidelines
- Document daily activities, reagent usage, calibrations, and maintenance
- Collaborate with the broader clinical laboratory team to support workflow efficiency
- Participate in continuing education and stay current on relevant scientific advances
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (4‑year) in Biology, Immunology, Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, or related scientific field
- Generalist experience
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a structured, regulated laboratory environment
Preferred (Not Required)
- ASCP or other relevant laboratory certification
- Experience in a clinical laboratory setting
This is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
