Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Lab Scientist II to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures that are essential for patient care. You will work in a dynamic environment where your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to accurate and timely test results.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology, or meet local regulatory CLIA State requirements.
• 2-4 years of clinical laboratory testing experience.
• State Medical Technologist license may be required.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred or required.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Proficient with computers.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs.

Work Environment

You will work in a laboratory setting that prioritizes safety and proper use of personal protective equipment. Hours: 1^st week of training 7a-330p M-F, 2^nd and 3^rd week 6a-230p Tu-Sat, permanent schedule after training 10p-630am W-Sun . The environment encourages teamwork and independence while providing the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge laboratory technologies. The company has lots of room for growth and opportunity.

This is a Contract position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

The pay range for this position is $39.50 - $39.50/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Phoenix,AZ.
