Job Description

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient patient care by taking vitals, rooming patients, and providing exceptional customer service. You will greet and chaperone patients during their visits, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs accurately.
• Room patients and prepare them for examinations.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist patients throughout their visit.
• Greet and chaperone patients during their visit.
• Assist with phlebotomy and handle electronic health records.
• Educate patients on care plans and medical instructions.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in medical assisting and phlebotomy.
• Experience with electronic health records.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to take and interpret blood pressure.
• Experience in internal medicine and patient care.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Experience in pediatrics is beneficial.
• Strong patient education abilities.

Work Environment

This role offers a team-focused and family-oriented atmosphere, emphasizing excellent patient care and outcomes. The clinic includes an onsite lab and provides both virtual and in-person visits. You will be assigned to work with an MD and handle a patient demographic that spans all ages, including pediatrics. Visits are scheduled at 20-minute intervals, with an average of 24 patients per day. The work environment values autonomy, does not engage in micromanagement, and ensures all team members feel valued and appreciated.

This is a Contract position based out of Buellton, CA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
