Medical Assistant / Scheduler – Denton, TX
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Scheduler to join our Colon & Rectal medical office in Denton. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing patient interaction with scheduling coordination and clinical support in a calm, team-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate surgeries efficiently, ensuring accurate communication with physicians and patients
- Escort patients and prepare them for visits by recording vital signs, medical updates, and medication changes
- Obtain and organize patient records prior to appointments or procedures
- Prepare, stock, and disinfect exam and treatment rooms in accordance with protocols
- Assist physicians during exams and procedures, including documentation as needed
- Answer patient calls and route inquiries appropriately
- Communicate reschedules and no-shows to physicians
- Support administrative functions such as chart prep, filing, faxing, and reception tasks
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (required)
- 2–3 years of experience as a scheduler and/or medical assistant
- Experience using the Athena system
- Strong communication skills and professional bedside manner
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denton, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
